Effective October 1, 2026
This policy explains how ANTINOTE LLC ("Antinote", "we", "us") handles information in connection with this website, our software (including our iPhone, Mac, and Raspberry Pi apps), and our hardware controllers.
The short version: we do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not require an account. What you create with our products stays on your own devices.
Information we collect
Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply to you.
Crash reports and diagnostics. If you install one of our apps through Apple's TestFlight or the App Store and you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide us with crash reports and basic usage statistics. Apple aggregates or de-identifies this data before we see it, and we use it only to find and fix problems in our apps. You can turn this off at any time in your device's privacy settings. If you are a TestFlight tester, any feedback or screenshots you submit through TestFlight are shared with us, and if we invited you to TestFlight by email, we have that email address. Apple's handling of this data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data on your devices. Our apps store what you create only on your own devices. None of it is sent to us. For example:
- Our synthesizer software stores patches, settings, and controller configurations locally.
- Our driving log app stores the date, start time, stop time, and day or night status of each practice drive on your iPhone. It does not use your location, and it does not ask for your name. PDFs you export are saved wherever you choose and are not sent to us.
This website and downloads. This site does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. The site and our download server (resources.antinote.co) are hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit the site, or download something from the download server, whether from the site or from within our software, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as your IP address and the files requested, in order to deliver them and protect against abuse, as described in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Our software contacts the download server only when you ask it to, for example to list, preview or download instruments, and it sends nothing about you or your device beyond the request itself.
How we use and share information
We use the limited information above only to respond to you and to keep our products working. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
We keep emails and diagnostic data only as long as they are useful for support and for improving our products, and then delete them.
Children
Our products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, for example by adding a new feature that sends data to us, we will update this page and its effective date before that change takes effect.
